I’ve always been open about my sexuality, finding both women and men attractive, and this song is about a time when I first really fancied a girl. The music for ‘Summer Crush’ felt like the perfect reflection of those fluttering feelings, so I knew I had to write a song to it."

She added that the songwriting process happened quickly, finished in just three days. "The tune immediately came to me as soon as I heard the music, and I shaped the lyrics around the melody. The studio session was so much fun. We experimented with tons of harmonies and ad-libs, creating a sound that felt both playful and intimate."

A standout moment on 'Summer Crush' is a vocal sample tucked away at the end. It's a snippet from a lively chat Suki had with her mates the night before hitting the studio. After a few glasses of wine, the conversation turned to how brilliant dating women can be – a moment Suki found too hilarious not to include. I didn’t get much sleep after having too much to drink the night before, but thanks to a lot of coffee and a great team, we pulled it off. I think ‘Summer Crush’ might just be my favourite song I’ve made so far!"
