Alongside these hits, the album features the much-anticipated tracks 'Burning' and 'Good Girl', plus a fresh take on Lesley Gore's classic 'You Don't Own Me'. LaRosa also joined forces with GRAMMY® award winner Amy Allen for the track 'Piece of My Life'.
Speaking about the album's title, LaRosa shared, "The album title 'Raven' represents something deeply personal to me, I've been obsessed with ravens and crows since I was little. There’s also a sports team from my hometown in Maryland called the Ravens, so in many ways they represent where I grew up. Raven to me feels like it captures the feeling of the album, which is dark and moody, while still maintaining a personal and emotional aspect. It feels like a perfect representation of me."
From the exhilarating energy of 'Good Girl' to the raw heartbreak expressed in 'Cry For You', 'Raven' paints a vivid picture of love, loss, and figuring things out. The album starts with a burst of youthful excitement, gradually moving towards more profound reflections on betrayal, distance, and the challenges of growing up. Songs like "Hope It Hurts" and "Home" delve into themes of change and the emotional journey of self-discovery during uncertain times. The closing track, 'Burning', shows Isabel embracing sadness, acceptance, and growth. Ultimately, 'Raven' is a bold declaration of who Isabel LaRosa is as an artist and a tantalising glimpse into the future of alt-pop.
The release of 'Raven' adds another significant milestone to LaRosa's rapidly growing career. With her 'Psychopomp Tour' kicking off tonight in San Diego, fans across North America, including major stops in Nashville, Boston, and Los Angeles, will get to experience the new music live.
