A talented trio bringing fuzzy blues rock from the creative heart of Melbourne, The Romeo Knights have made a name for themselves by peddling boot-shaking bass lines, pulsating drums and grit swamped fuzz guitars. Comprised of Adam Kurzel (Guitar/Vocals), Luke Price (Drums) and Sam Murray (Bass), the band released their debut single ‘Diamond Days’ in December of 2016, laying a hard-hitting foundation for things to come.
In the wake of the single, the band went on to release their massive debut album, ‘Spires’, a raw, collaborative work that was built with help from Davey Lane (You Am I, The Gravy Train Four) and Charles Jenkins (Ice Cream Hands). Something of a hidden gem, the album is filled with vital, blues-based alternative rock that is certain to impress, it’s a maelstrom of ballsy, hell-for-leather rock with a wash of visceral dynamics.
Solid and inarguable proof that Romeo Knights know exactly how to execute a killer guitar solo, the LP delivers a diverse range of tracks, exploring a variety of sounds and moods from gritty rock to floating, ethereal melodies. It’s an indie-rock album at heart and undying passion.
You can stream ‘Spires’ above via Spotify, and it’s further available at Polyester Records and Greville Records stores, and digitally through MGM.
