A band who have set themselves at the very forefront of Australian music, Knowing Bowen are part of a new wave of bands bringing classic rock back into the spotlight. In good company among acts like The Smith Street Band, Dear Seattle, Luca Brasi and Ceres, the four-piece of Glen Pearson, Lachlan Tibbles, Peter Luccitti and Ewan Borthwick have quickly become one of Sydney’s most impressive and fast-rising indie rock groups.
Forming in early-2019, Knowing Bowen have taken over Sydney's independent scene with their unique mix of bristling indie and timeless rock. Inspired by a string of contemporary bands, Knowing Bowen take lead from the likes of the UK’s Catfish and the Bottlemen and The Wombats, as well as US legends The Black Keys. It’s a broad and impressive sound, one that they wield with power and precision, creating an anthemic sound that holds firm to an infectious and unrelenting energy.
With the release of their debut single, ‘Out To Dry’, Knowing Bowen revealed an enduring illustration of their sound. It’s a track that longs to inspire the hopeful side within us all, combining lingering passion, distinct melody, and poignant, self-reflective lyrics into a massive debut release.
While the single was first released on the 11th of October this year, it’s now our great pleasure and extreme honour to premiere the official music video, which is streaming below via YouTube.
A video that perfectly reflects the tone of the song, ‘Out To Dry’ is a stunning watch, bringing to the fore the heartfelt spirit of the track. Filmed and produced by the talented Ethan Hart from Erive Films and mixed by the brilliant Ben Worsey from Everland Studios, the single is arguably one of the most impressive debuts you’ll hear all year.
