An original band with an original sound, Chicago’s own Superbig are an alt-rock band with a massive new sound. Consisting of lead singer/guitarist Jimmy Fountalas, drummer Frank Iffland, lead guitarist Patrick Senorski, and bassist Anthony Settecase, the band have been performing and refining their powerhouse sound since forming in 2014, playing some of Chicago’s most renowned stages and impressing both fans and critics alike with untamed bursts of rock ‘n’ roll.
Accompanied by the production of veteran Producer/Engineer Chris Steinmetz; Superbig meshes bright guitar riffs, soothing backing harmonies, driving drum beats, and powerful lead vocals to tell their story of “desperate living, failed relationships and obvious bad life choices.”
Their latest anthemic release, ‘Sideways Love’ arrives as the lead single from Superbig’s new album, ‘Barely Holding On’. It’s a massive introductory track to both the band and the album, pulling no punches and sparing no expense to bring you some of the most energetic, rampant, and vibrant rock you’ll hear all year.
Now with an official music video that was filmed at the famed Debonair Social Club in Chicago and directed by Phil Goode, the track is filled with drama, violence, animal energy, and a spirit that is simply immutable. The video is a perfect accompaniment for the song, balancing the visceral nature of the track with an action-packed narrative and some unforgettable visuals.
The band’s new album, ‘Barely Holding On’ is available now from the band’s website, and be sure to check out their social media pages below for all the latest news and updates.
