A funk metal band that seamlessly combines their sound with distinct thrash metal influences, Incognita was original formed in Madeira, Portugal in 1993. Initially, incognita released an EP called ‘Life’s A Bitch!’, bringing three songs into the spotlight and setting the foundation for their signing to Virtual Records. The signing was the beginning of a three-year partnership, with the band sadly breaking up shortly after the release of their live album ‘Madeirus Sarcasticus’.
Fast forward to September 2018 and four of the previous band members decided to get back together, bringing Incognita back to life with a new EP that would highlight the strength of their funk metal sound.
Move forward another year, and the band are now proud to present the first taste of their new music. The first single to come from the upcoming EP, ‘Say My Name’ is a massive track that comes complete with its very own lyric video. Check it out below.
Slated for release on April 5th this year, the new EP is tentatively titled ‘Polarization’ and will feature three brand new cuts from Incognita. If ‘Say My Name’ is anything to go by, it’s going to be a massive year for the band.
