A three-piece contemporary indie band based in East London, The Taboos have arrived on the mainstage with a sound that is brilliantly diverse. Varying from punching, anthem-esque choruses to echoey soft pop melodies, they're quickly becoming masters of alt-rock.
Officially formed in 2018 after their success in ‘The Rogues’, The Taboos have adopted great experience after supporting prestigious artists such as Nick Grimshaw, Scouting for Girls and Toploader. Their live experience has earned them regular gigs at famous London venues such as the O2 Academy Islington and Camden Assembly.
A band who have already displayed a level of songwriting that lies well beyond their age, The Taboos' sound has been shown to veer between extremes, frequently showing a deft mix of heavy, powerful rhythms and soft, twinkling tones. The band’s debut single ‘Criminal’ is out now, and it's the perfect illustration of their impressive sound.
It's the start of massive things to come for the band, and we can't wait for it to be followed a long string of new singles. Check out 'Criminal' above.
