Fresh from their tour dates in Western Australia and Queensland, and an explosive performance at this year’s Byron Bay Blues Festival, Sydney/Byron Bay collective Caravãna Sun are thrilled to announce they will be headlining their own curated all-ages Summer Escape Festival on the 3rd of September. Along with the festival, they’ve also added a Melbourne show at Howler on the 10th of September, before rounding off their triumphant tour in Sydney at The Factory Theatre on the 27th of August.
In the shows, Caravãna Sun will be playing tracks from their newly released ten-track album ‘Burning Palms’, which was written and recorded all within the past two years. Produced by the band, and mixed by Andy Lawson at Debaser Studio, Perth with additional mixing and engineered by Ian Pritchett, the record showcases the band’s heartfelt and introspective songwriting talent.
Caravãna Sun have always been known for the raw energy of their live shows. From the huge crowd singalongs to the quiet, soulful heart moments, and sun-drenched reggae to sweeping synth indie groove, they always keep their focus on the connection to their audience.
Ant Beard of the band added, “Our faith in live music and artists drove us to putting on Summer Escape Fest. Over the past 2 years, we felt the magnitude of what people being together, singing and dancing really means to us. We knew we had to create something aside from our band that would represent and authentically serve the communities that have truly been the lifeblood of Caravãna Sun for over 10 years. We’ve put together our favourite bands on one stage to truly celebrate live music to an all ages crowd. Summer escape fest truly embodies that inspiring awe that leaves all music loving Australians proud to come together and celebrate, with some big euphoric sing-alongs and infectious dance moves.”
You can catch Caravãna Sun live at their newly forged Summer Escape Festival on Saturday, 3rd of September this year, alongside Hot Potato, Peach Fur, Toxic Fox, Jazzelle, Steph Strings, Make The Moon, and Olivia Ruth. Get your tickets today.
Along with the festival, Melbourne and Sydney fans can see the band doing what they do best in August and September, with the band performing at the Factory Theare, Sydney on August 27th, and Melbourne's Howler on September 10th. Tickets are available now.
