Lottie McLeod's Announces New Tour with Love Love Love

2025 has been nothing short of a whirlwind for Brisbane's Lottie McLeod, and it's clear her star is on a rapid ascent. After a stellar 2024 that saw her nab the prestigious Billy Thorpe Scholarship, showcase at Bigsound, and earn nods in major competitions, this year has truly cemented her as an artist to watch. March was particularly massive, with 'The Line' leading to her being named Triple J Unearthed Feature Artist, swiftly followed by the QMusic ‘Emerging Artist of the Year’ at the QMAs – a well-deserved recognition of her dedication. Capping off that monumental month, Lottie even supported Mia Wray on the Queensland leg of her 'Hi, It’s Nice to Meet Me' Tour.

But the real buzz right now is all about her stunning debut EP, 'Bug', which landed in May. Rolling Stone Australia hit the nail on the head, describing ‘Bug’ as “perfect for those reflective moments.” And they’re not wrong. This collection of songs delves into the familiar, yet ever-complex, landscape of love and heartbreak. What sets ‘Bug’ apart, however, is the profound personal journey woven into its very fabric.

The EP was crafted during a period of intense artistic development for Lottie, coinciding with her grieving the passing of her father in 2021 from brain cancer. It’s a testament to her strength and artistry that such a deeply personal loss has been channelled into something so moving. Lottie openly credits her dad for instilling her musicality, and ‘Bug’ itself is a touching tribute – it was his nickname for her.

Even the EP’s artwork carries this heartfelt connection, featuring a beautiful ladybug illustration by Bianca Hines, Lottie’s high school art teacher from Music Industry College, where Lottie graduated in 2022. You’ll often spot Lottie wearing a ladybug pendant, a cherished gift from her father before he passed.

With 'Bug' now out in the wild and garnering praise, it's time to experience these emotive tracks live. Lottie is embarking on an exciting Australian tour this July, co-headlining with fellow Brisbane talent, Love Love Love. This promises to be an unmissable series of shows, bringing two fantastic acts to stages across the country.

Mark these dates in your calendar: Lottie McLeod and Love Love Love will hit Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory on July 10th, Wollongong’s Towradigi Hotel on July 11th, Melbourne’s Bergy Bandroom on July 19th, and wrap things up in her hometown of Brisbane at the Black Bear Lodge on July 26th.

If you’re looking for music that’s both raw and beautifully crafted, don’t miss the chance to catch Lottie McLeod as she shares her ‘Bug’ with the world. For more news, connect with Lottie today on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
