Australian trio Blusher have announced their highly anticipated new EP, 'RACER' via Warner Music Australia. This exciting news arrives alongside their fresh single, 'LAST MAN STANDING', offering another irresistible taste of their ever-expanding catalogue of pop perfection.
'LAST MAN STANDING' is clearly the heart of the 'RACER' EP, a defiant and joyful anthem about pouring your all into what you love. As the band themselves put it, "'Last Man Standing' is a celebration of passion, determination and grit. We formed this band because we wholeheartedly love making music and we do it for the love of the sport. As long as we can say we have put all our sweat and conviction into the art, who cares if anyone else likes it." They further elaborate on the track's origins, with Jade's childhood experience in an ABBA tribute band apparently melting into its DNA. The track aims to fill you with that "sparkly, scrappy energy" to keep you dancing harder and giving your all. If clubbing is their sport, then 'LAST MAN STANDING' is undeniably their team anthem.
'RACER' promises to be a six-track journey into the vibrant world of Blusher, with Jade, Lauren, and Miranda honing a bold sound that weaves together fresh synth-pop and dreamy nostalgia. Led by singles like the title track 'RACER', 'WHATEVERWHATEVER', and 'LAST MAN STANDING', the EP invites listeners on a coming-of-age night out with the band, delivering inescapable melodies and a sense of nonchalant escapism from start to finish.
To celebrate the upcoming EP, Blusher have also announced their 'RACER' Australian Tour, set for November and December. Fans in Melbourne, Brisbane, and Sydney will have the chance to experience Blusher's electrifying live show firsthand. Tickets go on-sale from 10 am AEST on Tuesday, June 17th, with pre-sales kicking off from 10 am AEST on Friday, June 13th for Spotify Fans First and Blusher subscribers.
Blusher have truly been establishing themselves as an unstoppable force on the live circuit. They recently delivered a highly praised set at triple j’s One Night Stand, notably bringing out Jordi Davieson from San Cisco for a dreamy cover of 'Awkward'. This year alone, they’ve supported Swedish hitmakers NOTD on a North American tour and performed at major festivals like Coca-Cola Sip And Sounds alongside Halsey and Khalid, and Riverbeat Festival with Missy Elliott and The Killers.
