Born in New York, but now based in the bustling streets of Brooklyn, Yeled Zaiin are a four-piece punk band with a penchant for creating visceral, high-energy punk music. Formed in 2014, the group of Yoni Auerbach (vocals and guitar), Aaron Barak (Bass), Shahar Mintz (Guitar), and Greg Zweiben (Drums) recorded their debut EP, ‘The Earth Is Flat’ at the renowned Vibromonk Studios in Bushwick Brooklyn, and haven’t looked back since.
With a sound pieced together from various styles and genres, the band have built themselves to be one of the most exciting new talents in Brooklyn. Meshing together the most tactile and driven parts of classic punk, rock and blues, their inspiration comes from the legendary sounds of The Doors, Patti Smith and Black Flag.
The band have been steading paying their dues on the local scene and interstate, playing in venues and bars across Manhattan, such as the Tender Trap, The Bowery Electric, The Well, and The Black Bear (to name just a few). Now, they’re gearing up to release their second EP in September, a release that promises to impress.
While we all wait for that though, be sure to check out the band’s raucous live performance of ‘Everybody Killer’ at The Temper Trap above, and be sure to follow the band on Facebook below!
