Acid – ‘Splash’

A Michigan-based writer, producer, and rapper, Acid might not be one of the most well-known names in the game, but with the release of his latest single, that’s all about to change. With his musical moniker being an acronym for ‘A Criminal in Disguise’, Acid has cultivated a strong image that he’s ready to bring to the mainstage, and with the release of his new single, along with news of an EP dropping later this year, he’s set to do just that.

Titled ‘Splash’, the single arrives as a hot new release that seamlessly blends new age pop and classic hip-hop into a truly monumental sound. Delivering an upbeat blend of rap anthemics with an undeniable sense of fun, Acid’s latest cut outlines what it’s like to be a famous artist. A sharp collaboration with the one-and-only Lamond, everything about ‘Splash’ is built to impress, showcasing an exquisite stream of sounds that are backed by straightforward lyrics, unparalleled vocals, and a rhythmic flow that is unmatched by most artists.

Influenced by some of the biggest names in modern rap, like Redman, Dr Dre, and The Notorious B.I.G., there is a sense of polished perfection that belies the underground sound, ensuring that ‘Splash’ sticks in the mind and is sure to impress. A natural progression from Acid’s earlier tracks like ‘Tear It Down’, ‘Monday Night Football’, ‘Crazy’, and ‘S.W.V.’, there is a lot to love about Acid’s stay and progression.

A massive glimpse into what we can expect from Acid’s upcoming EP, ‘Admiration’, ‘Splash’ is a track that will impress even the most stoic of rap fans.

You can stream the new single above via Spotify and be sure to check out Acid’s other tracks, along with his work with the B.C.F. (Black Confederate Family), and his very own label Intellect Records.
