Emma Gale – ‘Showbiz’

Emma Gale – ‘Showbiz’

Dorset singer-songwriter Emma Gale is set to release her beautifully crafted self-titled debut album, later this month, and to celebrate, she’s championing a textured new single that sets an unbelievable standard. Titled ‘Showbiz’, the new single is a brilliant illustration of Emma’s sound and style, capturing an indie-folk vibe that is filled with undeniable emotive power.

A self-proclaimed “accidental indie-folk artist”, Emma first cut her teeth as a cover singer before falling in love with songwriting. In April 2020, she took the bold step of releasing her debut single ‘Let’s See What the Earth Has to Say’, which quickly become a viral lockdown hit. A lyricist above all else, Emma’s debut single was an impressive glimpse into her growing talents, and with ‘Showbiz’, she’s fully realised her timeless, Americana sound.

Speaking about the new single, Emma explained, “On the surface ‘Showbiz’ is about celebrity love, but I think it goes a little deeper than that. It touches on all of our lives in the way that we live them these days - we tend to spend a lot of time on social media, only showing people what we want to show. So ‘she’ in the song could be me, it could be you…we’re all slightly guilty of only showing the highlight reel of our lives.”

Available now on all major platforms, ‘Showbiz’ is a catchy and wonderfully upbeat single with a country-infused sound that is instantly enjoyable and eternally relatable.

The full self-titled album will be released later this month on the 18th of March and will include both ‘Showbiz’ and ‘Let’s See What The Earth Has To Say’, along with the previously released ‘Enjoy Life While You Can’, and a string of original songs that are sure to impress.
