Jea Mira – ‘In Blue’

Jea Mira – ‘In Blue’

Born at the turn of the millennium, Jea Mira has spent the better part of the last two decades refining her sound into the latest and most vibrant evolution of pop music. Born in Poland, but now based in London, Jea was inspired to create music by a constant and diverse mix of influences that ranged from modern icons like Rihanna and Lorde, to timeless legends like Fleetwood Mac.

While in London, Jea began to fully realise her artistic vision, creating an ethereal sound that rose from her unique vocals, revolving breaks and patterns in musical form, and a fresh creative perspective. Armed with a dreamy, alt-pop sound, Jea has recently revealed her debut single, ‘In Blue’, an intoxicating and disarming release that perfectly introduces her sound to the world stage. Opening with a wandering stream of notes that flicker and fade, ‘In Blue’ sets the listener at ease, washing them in a sea of dark, tactile tones that exude confidence. It’s an unassuming start, but one that is perfectly placed, and as the lingering tones give way to a sudden burst of quick-stepping beats and angelic vocals, you can tell that ‘In Blue’ is something truly special.

With charm and character, Jea weaves an intoxicating sound, one that rallies around a sleek pop melody and unmistakable emotive depth. Channelling Lorde and Broods, Jea unleashes the track with a calculated and sincere style, one that shines with maturity and an enduring ethereal quality.

One of the finest independent pop songs to arrive all year, ‘In Blue’ is utterly charming and completely ensnaring, taking hold from the very first notes and blending a unique weave of universal artistic appeal and deeply personal undertones. Channelling emotive brilliance with charm and maturity, ‘In Blue’ creates a sound that is easily accessible and absolutely unforgettable, ensuring that Jea Mira will be a name on everyone’s lips for years to come.
