GVNG GREEN – ‘Red Light’

GVNG GREEN – ‘Red Light’

A rising hip-hop group, GVNG GREEN have been carving up the music scene since they first surfaced in Los Angeles in 2019. The dynamic duo of Goddi and StaJe, GVNG GREEN first met in 2018 when they were introduced by their manager and business partner, Andy Jin, and ever since they’ve become an inseparable creative force.

In their latest release, the pair have extended their reach with the help of local artist, actor, and producer Trinity, unleashing the first of many collaborative anthems, ‘Red Light’. Capturing the same sense of magic and excitement that filled their eponymous debut album, the new single stands firm as a sensual and sultry musical experience, embracing its audience and asking them to give in to their inner wants and desires.

Cut from old school cloth, ‘Red Light’ shimmers and sways with insatiable lust, building tension and appeal through a calculated medley of autotuned vocals, minimalist beats, and dark cinematics. Production is crystal clear, allowing the more intricate and emotive moments to linger and find their mark, while beneath it all a nuanced hip-hop sound flows freely, pushing the song forward and creating a truly universal feel.

Styled as a ‘sexy love song that touches your sexual sensations and desires’, ‘Red Light’ manages to capture the intoxicating pull of our inner wants, laying them bare and making them impossible to ignore. A true highlight for both GVNG GREEN and Trinity, ‘Red Light’ could just be their breakthrough anthem.

‘Red Light’ is available now on Spotify and all other major platforms and mark the first of many planned collaborations for GVNG GREEN. The duo is currently set to release their next single, ‘Buns’, featuring Sienna Spalding next month, with more to come as 2020 rolls on.

Score: 7.5/10
