Vinyl Disciples – ‘I Remember’

by Thomas Bedward August 07, 2020

Vinyl Disciples – ‘I Remember’

When we first met Vinyl Disciples, the creative gang of artists had just released their stellar remix of The Chainsmokers’ ‘Hope’, elevating the mainstream pop track into a relentless dance track. It was one of our favourite remixes from 2019, capturing a visceral EDM sound that perfectly encapsulated the group’s penchant for diverse and expansive digital sounds. Now, Vinyl Disciples are back in the spotlight with another bold anthem that looks back to the good old days, while also sounding fiercely modern.

Titled ‘I Remember’, the new single was born from fond memories of Boston beat nightlight and vibrant nights out, a time before the quarantine era where clubs were alive and well and every night was a party. In true, vibrant form, ‘I Remember’ begins with a crisp, polished sound and an unshakable immediacy, offering glorious club-infused sounds, relentless beats, and sultry dual vocals that play off one another perfectly.

Shining with a luminous, unyielding melody that lays the perfect foundation for the song’s dance energy and nuanced EDM style. Its bold, infectious, and wonderfully paced, creating a textured and completely ensnaring sound that few people will be able to stand against. Easily one of the collective’s most instantly impressive releases, ‘I Remember’ is just the kind of ‘iso-anthem’ that the world needs right now.

Bringing an evocative energy that outshines any of their previous remixes, ‘I Remember’ is the perfect introduction to Vinyl Disciples for the uninitiated, as well as a powerful new release for their current fans. Wrapped in a vibrant, cascading rhythm and flowing with an uncompromising, digital atmosphere, ‘I Remember’ is a rare example of modern dance music done exactly right.

You can stream ‘I Remember’ now on all major platforms and be sure to follow them on their social media pages below so you never miss a release.

Score: 9/10
