TOMER – ‘Superman’

by Thomas Bedward February 15, 2021

TOMER – ‘Superman’

An emerging musician, artist, songwriter, and model, Tomer Orenstein, better known by his mononymous stage name of TOMER, has always felt drawn towards music. A unique talent who believes that music is the rhythm of the body, the melody of the mind, and the symphony of life, TOMER has been constantly drawn to create, dancing to his own beat and always inspired to find new sounds and combinations. For the past four years, TOMER has been working hard to define his sound, creating, writing, composing, and producing his debut album, and now, we’re finally getting a glimpse of what’s to come when it’s eventually released.

In February of 2020, TOMER surprised and delight everyone with the release of his debut single ‘Vertigo’, a sharp hybrid between vibrant worlds of pop and EDM, but now he’s taken things a step further, pushing boundaries and crafting another high-tempo, indie-pop epic that will charm and enchant in equal measure.

A track that is soaked in romance and glossy pop aesthetic, ‘Superman’ is an undeniable new single that revels in waves of chilled vibes and emotive indie sounds. A deft fusion of sounds and styles, there is a seamless, polished appeal to the new single that hooks you almost instantly, layering pop-rock anthemics with a joyous EDM melody and some of the smoothest production that you’ll find in this or any other genre. Backed by simple, but wonderfully meaningful lyrics that instil the single with heart, it's all too easy to fall head over heels in love with the track.

Accompanied by an equally emotive music video that was released in the closing months of 2020, ‘Superman’ has become a shining example of modern pop done just right.

With over 320,000 views on YouTube already, and a growing following across all streaming platforms, ‘Superman’ is proof that TOMER might just be one of the most promising new talents in music.

Score: 8.5/10
