New York-based electronic musician XIMERMJ makes a compelling statement with his debut EP, 'Trivial Truths'. Having already made his way onto our radar with releases like ‘Transcend’, XIMERMJ’s debut EP feels like a welcome return, diving into a sonic landscape that feels personal and widely reflective of the chaotic modern age. As XIMERMJ himself puts it, "This EP was made for myself, and just to get my name out there… It’s a passion of mine to be a known artist and not an online persona.” He continued, “I named it that [Trivial Truths] because we are going through trivial times and truths. The world’s a mess, but there is one place I go to sonically drown out the world and its music."
As with many of his previous releases, there’s a level of honesty that underpins the EP, with each of the five tracks born from a genuine passion despite external hurdles. A hallmark of XIMERMJ’s sound, the EP is characterised by its inventive and often unpredictable production.
