Liverpool‘s Two Sunsets have steadily been attaining rave reviews locally following the quickfire selling out of their debut single 'Venetian Skies' (also released on The GPS earlier in the year) and especially off the back of advance listens to the great 'Katy Komatsu' here.
With mastering and production from Sonic Boom, the A-side is a gorgeously melodic, hazy summer pop gem; occasionally haunting with hooks to die for, this one’s as pretty much perfect a slice of out of focus, summer psych as it gets. Both tunes here have a feel uniquely their own, the B-side especially, 'Searchlights' feels like the backdrop to some late summer psychedelic fairground soundtrack, which under Sonic Boom’s tutorage takes on an air of half speed slow motion comedown.
Hand-numbered edition of 400 pressings on half blue and half clear vinyl, housed in a textured wrap around sleeve in a polybag.
