Czechia's She Called Rose Have Dropped Their Haunting Alt-Metal Anthem 'Hard To Be'

Czechia's She Called Rose have just unleashed their latest track, 'Hard To Be', and it's an absolute banger. This alt-metal/metalcore quartet, led by vocalist and producer Matthew Ross, have clearly been drawing inspiration from heavy hitters like Bring Me The Horizon and Avenged Sevenfold, but they bring their own unique flavour to the table.

'Hard To Be' hits with its exploration of disconnection and self-realisation. The lyrics dive into a pretty dark place, with vocalist Matthew describing the song as being about "chaos in your own body." Imagine feeling your emotions disconnect, leaving you an empty shell, just going through the motions. He paints a picture of living in your own head, unable to see reality, and the struggle to admit that something's wrong. Heavy stuff, but delivered with an intensity that grabs you from the first note.

The track was written by Matthew and bassist Paul, with Matthew taking the reins on production, mixing, and mastering. He even brought in Roleof Klop (who's worked with Jordan Valeriote) to assist with the mixing, so you know the sound is going to be top-notch.

Interestingly, the initial inspiration for the song came from the classic Japanese horror film 'Kaosu'. The band even connected with the studio behind the film, and while a collaboration didn't quite come together this time, they're hoping to explore that avenue in the future.

'Hard To Be' is a powerful track that showcases She Called Rose's talent and potential. With its haunting melodies, crushing riffs, and emotionally charged lyrics, it's sure to resonate with fans of the genre. This is definitely a band to keep an eye on. Check out the lyric video and get ready to be hooked.
