Dirty Tribe – ‘Fly Away’

  • 2 min read

A reggae rock ensemble from the Evergreen State, Dirty Tribe have been bringing their vibrant sound to the masses for a few years now, amassing a tight-knit group of singles along with a reputation for good vibes and even better tunes.

After arriving on the scene in 2020 with their debut single ‘Ocean Vibes’, which was recorded live during an appearance Reggae at Riffe, Dirty Tribe have gone from strength to strength. After building a loyal following and playing some choice venues around their home state, the band are looking to spread their sun-kissed, summer vibes around the world, kickstarting 2023 with new single ‘Fly Away’.

A quickfire release that floats alongside rolling bass, tempered drums, and a true reggae melody, ‘Fly Away’ is everything we’ve come to love about Dirty Tribe compressed into three enjoyable minutes. From the outset, the single feels purpose-built to draw out an emotional response, rolling the band’s eclectic influences into one captivating tie-dye experience. As with previous singles, the band’s sound reflects their personalities and upbringing, with influences ranging from classic rock, to steady reggae to ska, and everything in between.

Available now on all major streaming services, and as part of our annual Spotify playlist where it’s streaming alongside a string of other great releases from the year so far, ‘Fly Away’ is old-school, fun-filled reggae refreshed and repackaged for the modern-day. Along with the official release of the single, the band have also shared a brilliant live video of the single, recorded in The 56th Street Basement.

As part of Dirty Tribes bio, they say that their music “will always have a place at the party,” and listening to ‘Fly Away’, it’s hard to disagree. You can stream the new single below and make sure you check out their website and social media pages below for more reggae-rock anthems.
