DJ Sharpcut – ‘It Could Only Be You’

  • 2 min read

A name that everyone is familiar with, Gary Robinson is an acclaimed writer, director, producer, editor, photographer, and more, and for the last decade, he’s been pushing a unique electro-pop sound under the colourful moniker of DJ Sharpcut. After first coming to prominence with singles like ‘Dark Angel’ and the politically-charged ‘Trump The Traitor’, Gary has continued to impress, and with his latest release, he’s shared a special romantic ballad that will surely soundtrack every Valentine’s Day, wedding, and anniversary, from here on out.

Filled with soaring pop vibes and romantic choruses that speak straight to the heart, the new single is everything we’ve come to love about the DJ Sharpcut persona, amplified by colourful electronic influences and crips, clean production. Released recently on Spotify and Apple Music, the single is an emotive wonder, and we’re only too happy to feature it on our pages.

Featuring timeless lyrics that speak of endless love, the song captures the whirlwind feelings of falling in love, speaking out boldly, “I’ve travelled a million miles and seen a thousand faces. Looked all over the world and searched in far off places. But the search is over, you’re the only one. The world’s the sky and you’re the sun...”

Alongside the new release, Gary has also shared an equally vibrant new lyric video, which you can find on his YouTube page here. You can also stream the new single on our annual Spotify playlist alongside a stream of other impressive tracks from some of this year’s best new artists.

Billed as the ‘The Wedding Song of the Decade’, DJ Sharpcut’s latest release is arguably one of his most impressive, and it’s quite rightly been turning the heads of wedding video producers, venues, bands, and DJs looking for the next big song that will stand the test of time.
