A unique and timeless artist, Gray Days first appeared on the music scene with the release of his debut single, ‘Transcend’. A nostalgic and wonderfully heartfelt piece, it was the single that started it all for Gray Days, and he has been building on it ever since.
Recently, we spent some time getting to know Gray Days and ‘Going Nowhere’, his triumphant sophomore single that instantly encapsulated a shimmering acoustic sound and an undeniable sense of isolation. In true form for Gray Days, it was a stark and revelatory moment, delivering relatable, poetic lyrics and a wealth of heartfelt sentiment.
Since then, Gray Days has been riding an impressive wave of momentum, winning over fans and critics alike with his charming, evocative sound. A truly memorable release, ‘Transcend’ is where Gray Days first found his feet, as the artist explained, “this was the first song I recorded last year, and I was so happy with the result that's why I invested pretty much all my savings in making an album.”
Delivering a brilliant acoustic sound that cascades over layers of bass and electric guitar, ‘Transcend’ sees Grey Days joined by Michael Greville, Adam Church, and Simon Dobson of Lakehouse Audio, with the four artists and producers creating a perfectly paced and undeniably affecting release. Musically, it’s a light, flickering track that is endlessly endearing, armed with a wistful, rolling composition that acts as perfect backing for Gray Day’s vocals.
Speaking about the special re-release of the single, Gray Days explained, “I released this song last year but with album release next week I decided to re-release ‘Transcend’ to a lot of Spotify playlists that were playing ‘Going Nowhere'. The response has been quick and a bit overwhelming.”
Most recently, Gray Days has taken the brilliant step of releasing his debut album, ‘Drifting’, which is available now on all most platforms.
