Dunedin's Hot Sauce Club have released their latest new single, 'Land of Seclusion', available now on all your favourite streaming platforms.
The band's third single of 2023, and the follow-up to the successful releases of 'Out Like a Light' and 'What a Thing', the new single is what the band consider to be their best work to date. Taken from their forthcoming debut album, 'Land of Seclusion' is another genre-defying endeavour from the band, with its immersive guitar riffs, colossal sonic landscapes, and breathtaking vocals.
'Land of Seclusion' expresses the regret and emotional turmoil of lost love, while also cautioning wasting one’s youth through coldness and emotional detachment.
Hot Sauce Club’s core influences include the likes of Dunedin sound legends The Verlaines and The Clean, 90’s cult heroes Pavement, Radiohead, Dinosaur Jr, and Sonic Youth, and Aussie rock legends, Hockey Dad, Pist Idiots, Violent Soho, Silverchair, and Skegss. 'Land of Seclusion' fuses these influences to create a sonic traverse that will leave audiences craving for more. The new track was written in collaboration with the talented Willy Ferrier, the singer/songwriter of the established outfit, No Cigar.
'Land of Seclusion' was recorded and mixed by Josh Logan, one of the wizards at LOHO Studio (Christchurch), and was mastered by the Aotearoa legend Chris Chetland of Kog Studio (Auckland).
Touring their latest releases NZ-wide through June-September, Hot Sauce Club are swiftly making their mark on the NZ Indie/Alternative scene; a band to familiarise yourself with.
