Justin Clancy – ‘Noose’

Massachusetts-based artist Justin Clancy might not be one of the most well-known artists at the moment, but with the release of his new single ‘Noose’, he’s about to become the hottest name in the Northern hemisphere.

Armed with a style that perfectly blends alt-pop and gritty individualism, Justin has spent the last few years defining his style, and now, with his new single, he’s ready to impress the world. A deep and wonderfully personal track, ‘Noose’ is a rare blend of multi-layered genres, ensnaring melodies, and smooth, relatable moments, offering a complete aural experience that is both dynamic and colourful.

Featuring an incredibly varied vocal performance that ebbs and flows between stacked harmonies and reverberated effects, ‘Noose’ showcases Justin’s stellar rap talents, as well as his ability to infuse songs with power and raw, honest emotion. Thematically, the lyrics circle around his inner struggles, though are tastefully juxtaposed against his signature lush soundscapes, colourful chord-work and elegant melodies courtesy of producer Nox Beatz.

Speaking candidly of the new single, Justin explained, "’Noose’ represents the not-so-perfect circle I have experienced throughout my lifetime. Often feeling as if that very same circle is a noose slowly killing me. It's a summation of my personal struggles and inner turmoil."

On a deeper level, Clancy’s journey with substance abuse and mental health issues has enabled him to extract the good in the worst of times, and music is his way of expressing those feelings freely.

Justin has done immensely well to carve out his own take on the alt-pop scene. After a feature on the 2018 Warped Tour and being nominated for five Boston Music Awards, the Massachusetts-based singer-songwriter shows little sign of slowing down.
