Grammy-winning singer/songwriter, composer, and multi-instrumentalist Justus West has shared his soaring, pertinent ballad 'Come Together' available to stream now on all digital streaming platforms worldwide.
The track comes ahead of his highly-anticipated debut album 'Something More', scheduled for release this fall via Swedish-based independent label Snafu Records. The new track combines West’s impeccable guitar work with his celestial harmonies, which seemingly weave in and out of the heavens as you listen.
"’Come Together’ comes from a very deep place in my heart,” he says. “I wish I had the answers to some of the questions I posed in these lyrics....but for now I hope it can be a seed for us all to consider the small things we can do in our daily lives to spark big change on our planet. We as humans are one, and we only have one planet, so let's treat it with care."
Born and raised in Kansas City, KS, Justus West hails from a family of music industry professionals. At the age of eight, he picked up a guitar and his amazing journey began. By age fourteen, he started his travels around the world with high profile artists. Less than a year later, Justus was chosen to be one of five finalists in the 'Onstage With Vince Gill' competition sponsored by Guitar Center.
The visibility from this experience opened multiple doors and West set his sights on Los Angeles, where he was immediately pulled into the world of songwriting and production. Justus quickly became one of the most sought after and legendary session guitarists in the industry, and has worked with artists such as Alicia Keys, John Legend, Future, and Roddy Rich to name just a few, and has also notably become one of John Mayer’s top five guitarists. His collaborations have led to many incredible career highlights, including world tours with Miguel, 070Shake, and the Isley Brothers, and a world-record 6 performances on NPR’s Tiny Desk series, highlighted by 2018’s session with the late Mac Miller. As he was creating for others, West started to also write and produce for himself, which led to the birth of his solo artist project.
In 2019, Justus released his first EP, 'Control' which was met with rave reviews and truly put him on the map as a solo artist. He continued to create eye-catching content, release music, and perform shows, which caught the eye of Snafu Records in 2022. Fans can expect more new music from Justus West ahead of the new album.
