A producer and artist who has been involved in music for over a decade, Saberlike has coloured the Brooklyn hyperpop scene with his music, delivering his exaggerated and wonderfully eclectic style in drove. Now, he’s fusing the classic hyperpop sounds with his own creative whims to creative an evolutionary step, and it all starts with his new single ‘Nebuchadnezzar's Madness (Zawame City)’.
Born and raised in Michigan, but now residing in Long Island, Saberlike has been producing music since around 2007, building his repertoire and style for the best part of sixteen years. With a talent for vibrant, earworm melodies, he took to the hyperpop scene with ease, but now, he’s pushing the boundaries and searching for new ground. His breakthrough comes in the form of ‘hyperprog’ his own brilliant blend of progressive rock, hyperpop, EBM, video game music, and more.
A genre that he describes on his Bandcamp page as “the ‘music’ of the future”, hyperprog is perfectly illustrated by his latest single, delivering over seven-minutes of immersive, ground-breaking sounds that will have you enraptured. Available now on his Bandcamp page, along with most major streaming platforms, ‘Nebuchadnezzar's Madness (Zawame City)’ is an experience like few, if any, others.
Speaking candidly about the single, Saberlike explained, “’Nebuchadnezzar's Madness (Zawame City)’ is one of the purest expressions of the music I want to make. After spending the past few years doing SoundCloud only remixes, this is my triumphant return to proper streaming services.”
Composed, produced, and mixed by Saberlike, and mastered by John Paul Zigterman, the new single is arguably one of the most original and intoxicating releases we’ve heard this year, offering a new, but undeniable sounds that will get inside your head and then never leave.
