An Adelaide-based country-rock singer and songwriter, Scott Rathman Jnr has spent the last few years quietly releasing a string of impressive singles, starting with his debut 'Letterbox Lane', and reaching out to the more recent 'Angel On the Hill'.
A descendent of the Eastern Arrernte people of Central Australia, Scott has made his mark primarily as a busker, gaining acclaim and winning over audiences all across the country. To his credit, Scott recently won third place at the Tamworth Country Music Festival's national busking competition. and just finished opening up for Melanie Dyer, Mehalia Barnes, and The Black Sorrows as part of the Burra music festival.
With 'Angel On the Hill', Scott has introduced his 'first real single' as he calls it, delivering a brilliantly composed and wonderfully textured country track that will instantly connect with its audience. Speaking candidly about the single with us, Scott shared, "I've just released my first real single, which is a big achievement as someone who is doing this on his own, while also being a full time singer-songwriter and performer and full time single father of three."
