Arkansas-based rock band Stays In Vegas has dropped the video for their latest single, ‘Memories of Pain’, a moving track tackling the sensitive subject of mental health. The song is a standout from their upcoming two-song EP, ‘Duality’, and showcases the band's ability to blend raw emotion with their signature energetic sound.
The production on ‘Memories of Pain’ is top-notch, having been mixed and mastered at the iconic Abbey Road Studios in London. The addition of composer Joseph Fuller's evocative strings and piano adds another layer of depth, creating a truly immersive listening experience.
Vocalist and guitarist Christopher Fulmer shared the inspiration behind the song: “'Memories of Pain' is about suicide from the survivor’s perspective. A friend was telling me about her early years; she was severely depressed, but nobody saw her scars and never asked about her scars until I asked. Thankfully, she made it through.”
This deeply personal narrative resonates throughout the track, giving it an authenticity that's bound to connect with listeners. Stays In Vegas, a power trio hailing from Little Rock, Arkansas, has been making waves with their grungy yet polished sound, drawing comparisons to iconic bands like Nirvana, Kings X, A Perfect Circle, and Foo Fighters.
With three full-length albums already under their belt, being ‘Faces for the Moment’, ‘Revelations’, and ‘Kings of Pain’, Stays In Vegas is showing no signs of slowing down. They are currently in pre-production for their fourth studio album, ‘The Ramen Conspiracy’, slated for release in mid-2025.
But Stays In Vegas isn't just about studio recordings; their explosive live performances have earned them a reputation as a must-see act. This dedication to their craft led to them being nominated for Rock Band of the Year, Rock Album of the Year, and Rock Song of the Year at the International Music and Entertainment Association (IMEA) Awards in 2018.
