Over the past year, The Antenna Tribe has quietly become one of our favourite bands, delivering track after track of immersive, enchanting, and wonderfully dark pop magic. It was a wild and undeniable path that they trod, culminating in the brilliant four track EP, ‘Elastic Crowns’, a marvellous listen that saw lo-fi vibes and chilled tempos colliding beautifully over ethereal electronic melodies.
More recently, the anonymous producer has continued to impress, pushing boundaries with a wave of new releases such as ‘Plain Sight (Not the Same Sight)’, and now, the stellar and wonderfully intricate ‘Seconds’.
A new release that sees the producer teaming up with long-time collaborator and vocalist Silke, the new single is further proof that The Antenna Tribe has perfected his sound. Following in the footsteps of previous tracks, ‘Seconds’ brings to the fore another gorgeous, multi-layered soundscape, one that charms with a familiar pop sound, while also surprising with a neat twist and plenty of heart. At its core, The Antenna Tribe have always been known for an ‘emotionally familiar and sonically unique’ sound, and ‘Seconds’ is arguably their most enticing track so far.
Weaving a fine mix of sound, story, and motion, The Antenna Tribe have always embodied a brilliant collaborative spirit, and on ‘Seconds’, it hits with full force. While creating moods, crafting dreamscapes and making timeless art, The Antenna Tribe commits itself to making a lasting impression, and that’s just what they’ve done here.
