Teaming up with producer Tentendo, CHISEKO continues to push creative boundaries, blending elements of electronica, hip-hop, and soul into a sound that's both familiar and refreshingly new. "My favourite thing about working on this song was being able to link up with Tentendo who I wanted to collaborate with for a long time," CHISEKO shares. "The song came together naturally and his production skills really elevated the soundscape." The track also features backing vocals from Annalisa, adding another layer of depth to this already captivating song.
This latest release follows a whirlwind year for CHISEKO, who participated in an international songwriting camp in Kuala Lumpur and travelled to the Philippines for a series of writing sessions and a performance at the WE PLAY HERE festival. With a sound that draws comparisons to KAYTRANADA, Anderson .Paak, and Q-tip, CHISEKO has been steadily building a name for himself, supporting acts like FKJ, Winston Surfshirt, and Yung Gravy, and selling out headline shows of his own.
His music, as he describes it, exists "somewhere in between a sunset drive with your hair bowling in the wind and a sweaty rave in an underground basement." It's a fitting description for 'STAY', a track that manages to be both laid-back and energetic, introspective and undeniably catchy.
