Esha Tewari's "things i want" Signals a New Chapter And An Aussie Tour

Esha Tewari has dropped her latest single, 'things i want', following her recent signing to Warner Music. The track showcases a growth in her sound, blending her characteristic emotional depth with a more polished production. While maintaining the intimate feel of her earlier bedroom-folk releases, 'things i want' introduces a brighter, more expansive sonic landscape.

Tewari draws inspiration from the 90s rom-com era, reflecting on the films' soundtracks and artists like Sixpence None The Richer and The Sundays. "Growing up I loved watching 90’s rom coms, and the soundtracks for those movies were always feel good with a splash of melancholy at times. Bands like Sixpence None The Richer, and The Sundays were a big inspiration for this song. ‘things i want’ helps me expand my world, with a more upbeat sound but keeping the same heartfelt lyrics that I’m always drawn to,” Tewari explained. This influence contributes to the track's blend of uplifting melodies and thoughtful lyricism.

The release of 'things i want' precedes Tewari's return to Australian stages. In April and May, she'll embark on her second headline Australian tour, following a sold-out run in November 2024. The tour serves as a warm-up for a scheduled North American tour in mid-2025. Demand is high, with shows in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Perth already sold out, and limited tickets remaining for the Adelaide performance.

Tewari's rise has been rapid since she began releasing music in February 2024. Starting with covers and original songs on TikTok, she quickly gained traction with her single 'beautiful boy'. Her online presence has translated into a loyal fanbase, affectionately known as 'Tewarians', and impressive streaming numbers. She has over 13 million global streams, a substantial monthly listenership on Spotify, and a strong following across Instagram and TikTok. Throughout the past year she has released the EP’s 'i can' and 'Better Off', and she is currently preparing her third EP. A lead single titled 'you were mine' was released recently, creating many TikToks and videos in celebration.

Esha Tewari's ability to connect with her audience through sincere songwriting and online engagement has positioned her as a rising artist to watch. For more from this stellar artist, be sure to follow her today on Instagram, TikTok, and X.
