Australian music icon Daryl Braithwaite is back with a brand new single, 'It's You', his first release in four years. Following on from his 2020 hit 'Love Songs', which has racked up an impressive 30 million streams, 'It's You' sees Braithwaite reunite with Grammy-nominated songwriter Michael Fatkin.
Fatkin, who also co-wrote 'Love Songs', sent the track to Braithwaite about a year ago, and it quickly became a fan favourite during live performances. "I started playing it live to a very warm reaction," Braithwaite says. Clearly touched by the audience response, he adds, "I hope that as people continue to discover ‘It’s You’ it will resonate with them and bring them the same joy it brings me to play it live on stage!"
'It's You' is a testament to Braithwaite's enduring talent and his ability to deliver heartfelt, emotionally resonant music. It's a vibrant and absolutely gorgeous new track, reminding us why he remains one of Australia's most beloved artists.
With a career spanning five decades, Braithwaite shows no signs of slowing down. From his early days fronting Sherbet to his successful solo career, he has achieved multi-platinum albums, countless sold-out tours, and even an ARIA Hall Of Fame induction. Yet, he seems as enthusiastic as ever about releasing new music and connecting with fans.
