Jon shares insights into his production techniques, the influence of his experiences supporting renowned artists, and the significance of early support from industry heavyweights.

Great to have this chance to chat with you about the new single. Diving right into ‘Take Me Higher’ – it has been described as an "uplifting yet deep piece of music." Can you elaborate on the creative process behind the track and how you achieved that balance?

With this project, I've used a driving baseline and a punchy kick to give it that deep sound, and to keep it uplifting I've used some big vocals, chopped them for some sounds to keep the energy high, and added some effects to compliment the project.”

You’ve mentioned your motto is "not to hold back and for my music choice to serve as a vessel to become one with the crowd." How does ‘Take Me Higher’ fit with this philosophy?

“I wanted this project to be full of energy where everyone can dance and we all get lost in the music and forget about what is going on in the world.”

In your career you've supported national and international acts at festivals and held residencies with online radio stations. How have these experiences shaped your approach to producing your own music?

Sharing the stage and radio shows with some very talented producers has allowed me to find my sound very early in my journey and also shaped the direction I want to go with my production.”

‘Take Me Higher’ has garnered support from prominent DJs like Nic Fanciulli and Don Diablo. What does this recognition mean to you?

I was shocked when I found out they had supported the project. But I couldn't be happier as I know that I'm going in the right direction with my projects it's only upwards from here.”

You've mentioned that ‘Take Me Higher’ is "a reflection of your journey in the industry." Can you pinpoint specific elements in the track that symbolize key moments or phases in your career?

“I can't pinpoint one element. To me, the whole project reflects the growth I've had with my production in the past three years and how far I can go in the coming years.”

You’ve started to shift towards focusing on production full-time. What motivated this decision, and how has it influenced your creative process?

“All the spare time we had during COVID allowed me to get back into my production after a long time off. Getting great feedback on this project and my passion for producing I feel the time is right to make the move to full-time production.

You aim to "keep the energy high" and have everyone "feel the same vibe." How do you translate this goal into your production techniques and track selection when performing live?

“With my track selection at live events, I tend to go with tracks that have big vocals and big basslines full of energy to keep the dancefloor full.”

What are your aspirations for your music on both a local and international level? How do you plan to expand your presence in those markets?

“Long term I would love for my music to be played at all the big festivals both here and overseas. There is a lot of work going on behind the scenes building connections to make this happen.”

Can you share some insights into your upcoming projects? What kind of sound and direction can fans anticipate from your future releases?

My upcoming releases are going in the same direction as ‘Take Me Higher’. They have a big driving bassline and punchy kicks paired with some powerful vocals to keep the energy high and have the whole dancefloor dancing.”

Beyond ‘Take Me Higher’, are there any other personal projects or collaborations on the horizon that you're particularly excited about?

“I'm looking forward to my first release next year. it's another banger full of energy that will get everyone dancing.”

From his early days rocking local clubs to gracing festival stages alongside international acts, Jon's passion for music shines through. His dedication to crafting high-energy experiences is evident in every beat, and ‘Take Me Higher’ is no exception.
