A multi-talented artist who has been captivating audiences since she was a child, Jennifer Divina is more than just a pretty face with a killer voice. Starting as a dancer, and then a model, Jennifer has recently began focussing on her songwriting, but the results have been nothing short of incredible.
In this exclusive interview, we spoke with Jennifer about her journey from childhood star and social media influencer to rising music sensation and explored the inspiration behind her latest hits and what she has in store for her fans in the future. So great to speak with you today, Jennifer. You’ve had a fascinating journey so far, can you tell us where it all began?
“I started singing as a little girl at the age of four. At the age of six, I continued for the gold medal and other competitions, but I didn't want to become a singer it was just a passion of mine. Then in April 2024, I woke up out of bed, and I told my mother that I wanted to sing.”
“I contacted a DJ to do a collaboration, which became ‘Galoppa La Tua Cavalla’. From there I realised that I really like recording and writing songs perform dancing and singing.”
Can you tell us a bit about your music and what it means to you?
“It's my outlet and fun for me - you can't live without music. The genre I chose transmits so much happiness, blending reggaeton, dembow beat, Latinos… When I sing I want to dance always letting myself be carried away by the music, letting all thoughts fade away and I want this to be the case with all the people who appreciate my music.”
What has been your songwriting process for the first few singles?
“While I listen to music, ideas come to me - the words come to me.”
What advice would you give to bands and artists who are just starting out and trying to find their sound?
“To try and when they find their genre that suits their tone and what makes them feel best.”
