KYE returns in perfect form with her latest single ‘Now Come On Now’

As a continuation of her ARIA-nominated EP, 'Ribena', KYE returns today with her latest single, ‘Now Come On Now’.

Effortlessly confident and cool, KYE flexes her signature heavenly vocals, proving time and time again that she is the moment. Driven by infectious pop melodies, ‘Now Come On Now’ was made for the club and inspired from an iconic Wendy Williams line read, transformed by none other than Melbourne drag performer, Hollywould Star. Born from KYE’s 'Ribena' era, ‘Now Come On Now’ is an expression of fun, freedom and community that commands you to move from start to finish.

KYE on the single: “I’m not usually the last one to leave the party but I’m glued to the dance floor. I wanted one last splash of Ribena to close off this chapter of music-making. So, wipe the sweat off your brow and stay for one more dance. I don’t know what else you want me to say - I’ve said it all. Serve, slay, sizzle etc.”

In celebration of the single, KYE has announced the ‘Now Come On Now’ Tour. Kicking off at Gaytimes Festival on February 23, KYE will then perform at Sydney’s Imperial Basement on March 23 and Melbourne’s Rubix Warehouse on April 6th. Tickets on sale now at getitkye.com.

‘Now Come On Now’ is the first new music from KYE since releasing her sophomore EP, Ribena. From club heater, ‘Bossin’’ to pop anthem ‘Heavy Love’, the entirely self-produced ‘Sorbae Type Beet’ and the soulful ‘180’, KYE entered a new era of pop stardom, drawing on the genres that shaped her upbringing in the UK and Australia, while retaining the R&B-soul sound and weaving elements from her African heritage. Stepping into her truest form as an artist, the EP received nationwide critical acclaim, including an ARIA nomination for Best Soul/R&B Release.

A seasoned and captivating performer, KYE has been enamouring audiences across Australia since she first hit the stage. At the beginning of 2023, she toured with For The Love across all dates, performed as part of Genesis Owusu’s Black Dog Band for his WOMADELAIDE and Red Bull Symphonic shows and returned to the ARIAs as part of the 50 Years of Hip Hop tribute performance. Prior to this in 2022, she packed-out Club Bossin’ shows, supported the iconic TLC, joined Joey Bada$$ for his triple j Like A Version and dazzled audiences during the 2022 ARIA tribute to Olivia Newton-John alongside Tones And I, Natalie Imbruglia and Peking Duk.

Back today with new music, KYE continues to celebrate pleasure and joy in all that she does. Enjoy the scintillating sweetness of ‘Now Come On Now’ today and don’t miss your chance to catch KYE live in the coming months.
