Stilla's Electrifying New Single 'Energy' is a Self-Love Anthem for the Modern Era

Naarm/Melbourne's rising pop sensation, Stilla, has dropped her second single of the year with 'Energy,' a vibrant, funk-pop anthem celebrating self-love, embracing your inner "main character," and romanticising life. Released today, the track invites listeners to take centre stage in their own narrative.

Co-produced by Stilla and Nathan Zammit, and mixed by Hayden Lauerson (Tentendo, Sophiya, Boy Soda), 'Energy' exudes an unapologetic confidence and message of self-empowerment that is sure to resonate with audiences.

Written in 2022, 'Energy' laid the groundwork for the groove-driven pop sound Stilla is known for today. Drawing inspiration from the popular "main character" trend on social media, Stilla masterfully weaves metaphors and everyday expressions into her songwriting. The song serves as a powerful affirmation, reminding listeners of their self-worth and the importance of setting boundaries to maintain positive energy.

"'Energy' is a light hearted way of saying we all need to romanticise the f**k out of our life to enjoy it in this day and age, where we are constantly comparing ourselves to a highlight reel on social media," Stilla explains.

Following the success of her recent release 'Under The Water,' which garnered acclaim from Australian music tastemakers, Stilla's momentum continues to build. With performances at key showcases like Sofar Sounds and Breaking Sound, and upcoming appearances at ALONG THE IVY Showcase in July 2024, Stilla is solidifying her position as a rising force in the pop music scene.
