BLM GRIPAZEEM‘s sophomore album 'Applegarth Academy' Is A Risky and Worthwhile Listen

South London rapper, GRIPAZEEM BE LIVING MOTIVATION, or more simply BLM GRIPAZEEM, has returned with his sophomore album, 'Applegarth Academy’, a new collection of cuts that take lead from last year’s debut, ‘Manifest Destiny’. Known for his innovative style and transatlantic ties, the new album sees BLM GRIPAZEEM continuing to push boundaries and striving for new musical ground.

The album opens with ‘Weapons Of Mass Destruction’, and it's immediately apparent that BLM GRIPAZEEM is leaning heavily into trap influences. The repeating hooks and emphasis on rhythm over lyrical complexity are a departure from his debut, instantly hitting you with a sense of something new. BLM GRIPAZEEM’s unique style is easily apparent, as is his ambition to make something bigger and better than before.

This pattern continues on tracks like ‘Show Me The Money’ and ‘Capitalism’, with BLM GRIPAZEEM’s verse being packed to the absolute brim. Each of the tracks deliver some thought-provoking moments, lashing out with a strength and chaotic style that will have you hooked. As the album continues, there are moments where BLM GRIPAZEEM truly excels, realising his full potential in ‘Major Comeback’ and ‘Do Not Disturb’, layering catchy hooks with a confident style and plenty of captivating sounds.

Elsewhere, ‘Activist’ and ‘Airplane Mode’ showcase BLM GRIPAZEEM’s versatility. The music is unique, and the hooks are undeniably catchy. It’s exactly what we love to hear from BLM GRIPAZEEM, pushing boundaries, making his mark, and delivering cuts that are truly unique to him.

Like his debut album, ‘Applegarth Academy’ is a diverse mix, adding layers to his blossoming legacy and showing his growth as an artist. It’s an album that continues to solidify BLM GRIPAZEEM’s place in the music industry, offering moments of pure brilliance and willingness to explore new musical directions.

With every album BLM GRIPAZEEM keeps improving, refining his strengths and talents, and pushing to redefine what modern hip-hop can be. If he can keep building on this momentum, we’re sure BLM GRIPAZEEM’s third record will be one to remember.
