Bite Me Bambi Bite Back With Rebellious New Single 'Do The Damned'

Southern California's Bite Me Bambi are back with a bang, unleashing their rebellious new single 'Do The Damned' on an unsuspecting world. This infectious track is a potent cocktail of vintage girl-group vocals, punk rock energy, and pop sensibilities, all topped off with lyrics that pack a serious punch.

'Do The Damned' is an anthem for anyone who's tired of trying to please everyone. Frontwoman Tahlena Chikami explains, "Whether in this industry or life, everybody has an opinion on you. The song is about getting rid of the people in your life who don't support you. Let's not waste our time worrying about those kinds of people." This sentiment of defiant self-acceptance resonates throughout the song, making it a powerful and relatable listen.

The accompanying music video perfectly captures the song's IDGAF attitude. Inspired by the iconic Wednesday Addams dance, the video features choreography by Kimmay Evans and is brought to life by director Chris Graue, with a special appearance by Colby Rodgers of Strawberry Fuzz. "We wanted the video to reflect that same attitude," says Chikami. " [A] vision full of IDGAF energy."

'Do The Damned' is just a taste of what's to come from Bite Me Bambi's upcoming EP, 'Eat This', due out in early 2025. Produced by Grammy Award-winner Cameron Webb (Sum 41, Pennywise), the EP promises a diverse collection of unabashed punk anthems. "For the first time, I feel like we aren't editing ourselves," Chikami reveals. "We're making the music we want to make and sharing the message we want to share."

The band, comprised of Tahlena Chikami (vocals), Mike Berault (keys), Ryan Brown (bass), Edgar Guadiana (sax), and Dan Evans (drums), have been making waves since their formation in 2019. Their 2020 debut EP, 'Hurry Up And Wait', spawned fan favourites like 'Strippers on a Sunday' and 'Crazy', which caught the attention of late reggae legend Lee "Scratch" Perry, who remixed the latter.

Bite Me Bambi are clearly a band on the rise, and 'Do The Damned' is a defiant statement of intent. With their upcoming EP and a November tour with Barstool Preachers on the horizon, the future looks bright for this exciting group. So crank up the volume, embrace your inner rebel, and 'Do The Damned'.
