Natisa Gogol, the captivating Prague-based singer-songwriter, has overcome incredible adversity to share her gift of music with the world. Forced to leave her home in Kyiv when war broke out, Natisa has shown remarkable resilience, pouring her experiences into dream pop soundscapes brimming with emotion and mesmerizing melodies.
Her latest single, 'Heavens Create', is a testament to her journey. Co-written with renowned musician and producer Gregory Darling, the track is a hypnotic blend of shimmering melodies, oscillating synths, and a driving beat that pulls you into Natisa's sonic world.
But it's the music video for 'Heavens Create' that truly sets this release apart. Helmed by young Ukrainian director Stas Morozov, the video was filmed in Lviv and draws inspiration from five iconic Renaissance paintings: Rembrandt's 'Christ in the Storm on the Sea of Galilee', Botticelli's 'The Birth of Venus' and 'Primavera', Raphael's 'The School of Athens', and Van Eyck's 'The Arnolfini Portrait'.
Morozov uses graphics to bring these masterpieces to life, weaving them into the narrative of the song and adding a sense of epic scale. The result is an arthouse cinema-style video that pushes creative boundaries. "I can say that this video is the most anticipated release of my career," Natisa reveals. "My team and I waited nearly 10 months for the final version, as we had to make constant revisions, and, admittedly, there were some significant disagreements along the way. But in the end, I believe we achieved true art."
'Heavens Create' explores the theme of destiny and profound connection. It tells the story of two people who meet and fall deeply in love, their encounter orchestrated by fate. Natisa explains, "I've had this experience in my own life, so I know what I’m talking about."
With hundreds of thousands of streams to her name and praise from publications like Wonderland Magazine, LADYGUNN, and Earmilk, Natisa Gogol is an artist on the rise. Her journey from hardship to triumph is an inspiration, and her music is a testament to the power of the human spirit.
