Hailing from Portlaoise in the Irish Midlands, The Lost Messiahs might not be one of the most well-known bands, but they’re certainly one of the most exciting. With a sound that has been described as “a rich palette of atmospheric guitars, dark and brooding synths and driven by a relentless hypnotic rhythm”, they’ve been putting the finishing touches on their third album, and to celebrate, they’ve shared the massive new single, ‘Place In My Heart’.
A song that captures the recent loss of a parent and the difficult process of letting go, ‘Place In My Heart’ arrives as the first video and single to be taken from the upcoming album. Recorded at Golden Egg Studios and produced by Ollie Plunkett, the single is everything we’ve come to love about The Lost Messiahs and more, weaving an emotive narrative that is backed by soaring guitars and golden instrumentals.
Mixed by Brian O'Mahony and mastered by Richard Dowling at Wav Mastering, there’s a distinct, and wonderfully heartfelt quality to the new single, showcasing the band’s talent for writing honest, emotional pieces that are wonderfully personal and introspective, but also maintain their wide universal appeal. Alongside the new single, the band have also shared an equally evocative new video that was filmed and edited by Thomas Moyles of Avalanche Media. You can check out the video below via YouTube,
