A sharp collaborative project based in Barwon Heads, Australia, Love & The Weather cut to the front of the indie scene last year with the release of their eponymous debut record. A cinematic release that delivered waves of indie-folk, alt-country, and immersive shoegaze sounds, the record had Louder Than War absolutely enamored, and for a very good reason.
Described as a “delicious slice of Americana” and “a beguiling gem”, the self-titled record was recorded and mixed by Case Hartnett at Pocket Full of Stone Recording Studio in Point Lonsdale during the height of a scorching summer heatwave. Mastered in analogue by Nick Huggins on an old school reel-to-reel tape recorder, the album lingers between artfully cinematic and wonderfully rustic, creating a textured, yet timeless feel that matches the band’s vintage vibes perfectly.
