Caribou's 'Andorra' sees Dan Snaith continue his dalliance with dream time pop, sixties psychedelia, and general one-man-band shenanigans. He's come a long way since his solo computer with FX set up, developing a sound way beyond the sub-four Tet style percussive electronica.
Highlights are the single 'Melody Day' and 'She's The One', both of which summon up the feeling that Dan is in love with at least life, if not love itself. His debut for City Slang after leaving Leaf. Very well recommended, for fans of his last LP 'Milk Of Human Kindness' and those that appreciated his dual drum live sets. Pressed on timeless black vinyl.
