An indie pop project that dates back to the summer of 2017, Alpha Circle has been keeping us entertained for years, delivering a string of impressive singles including ‘Phoenix and Butterflies’, ‘Soarin’, and their breakthrough 2022 single, ‘Made In London’. Throughout, the fourpiece from Spain have crafted an impressive alt-pop sound, one that always told a story and confronted their struggles and emotional turmoil. Today, we’re shining a light on another of their impressive singles, with the upbeat ‘Tricky’ released only a few days ago.
Arguably one of the band’s most relatable releases in recent years, ‘Tricky’ delivers a vibrant pop sound, which artfully contrasts the lyrical content. Speaking of the challenges and complications within a relationship, the single was inspired heavily by the band’s own Alberto Garcia. Taken from their new EP, which is simply titled ‘The EP’, it’s a single that grabs your attention and then never lets it go.
Speaking about the new single, the band explained, “It’s a song about the challenges of a relationship, the ups, and downs, and that although none of us are perfect, those quirks are what keep it interesting. It’s upbeat and fun, and the lyrics are easy to relate to.”

Alpha Circle are winners of Shout Radio’s ‘Best Song of 2022’ for their single ‘Phoenix and Butterflies’, and they won the Toby Award. In the first year of their inception they qualified as Semi Finalist’s in Spain’s Battle of the Bands with their hit single ‘Circles’.
Based in Madrid, Spain but composed of English and Spanish musicians they have a following both the United Kingdom and Spain, and have appeared on Kiss FM in The United States with their release of the 2022 single ‘Soarin’.
