Emerging pop sensation Annabelle Walt has burst onto the music scene with her debut EP, 'Chills', a captivating four-track collection exploring themes of love, relationships, empowerment, and introspection. The EP is a testament to Walt's feminist, assertive, and sensual spirit, offering listeners a diverse and enthralling sonic experience.
The EP's title track is a universal anthem of self-confidence, boasting a provocative and sensual energy with a mysterious melody and intimate ambiance. 'Secret' arrives perfectly as a contemplative ballad exploring the doubts and introspections of a young woman grappling with desire.
In the latter half of the EP, 'When the Sun Goes Down' transforms the introverted into the uninhibited, inviting listeners to an urgent party for freedom with its hypnotic musical ambiance. Finally, 'Shell' is a hypnotic tale of budding love, drawing inspiration from Oriental melodies.
"It's a first step in my artistic journey," Walt reveals. "I wanted to reveal an intimate part of myself, to talk about love, sensuality, self-confidence, but also doubts. It's an EP with a true pop DNA, but I draw inspiration from different universes that touch me. Some tracks have Arabic touches, others are electro."
Co-composed with Maxence Davo and Mathieu Llech, and produced by Elache Prod, "Chills" showcases Walt's songwriting prowess and her ability to weave a tapestry of sounds that resonate with a wide audience. The EP is available now on all streaming platforms.
