Blank Atlas Shine a Light on 'Hope' with New Single

Bristol's high-energy rockers Blank Atlas are back with a bang, dropping their new single 'Hope' ahead of their highly anticipated performance at 2000 Trees festival. The release marks the culmination of a whirlwind touring cycle for the trio, whose critically acclaimed debut album 'Dawn Chorus; saw them share stages with rock heavyweights across the UK and Ireland, garnering support from the likes of Kerrang! Radio, BBC Radio 1, and BBC Introducing.

With 'Hope,' Blank Atlas continues to build on the momentum of their debut, showcasing their signature blend of soaring harmonies, killer riffs, and anthemic choruses. Fans can expect to hear the new single live at 2000 Trees festival, where the band will undoubtedly deliver their trademark high-octane performance.

Bassist Chris Simpson explains the inspiration behind the single: "We wanted to continue the journey of 'Dawn Chorus' with a song that ties into the album. Lyrically, 'Hope' is an extension of the final song, 'Give Up.' We took that theme of hopelessness and gave it a more positive spin. If you listen to the album in full, it'll seamlessly transition into 'Hope'."

'Dawn Chorus' was lauded by critics for its "clear understanding of dynamics and song structure", with Distorted Sound Magazine praising the band's ability to "flex their songwriting abilities across a number of different subgenres while keeping their unique sound intact." The album's creation during lockdown fostered a more collaborative writing process, resulting in a dynamic collection of tracks featuring guest appearances from notable musicians like Jake Crawford (Acoda/Press To MECO/Unpeople).
