An American singer, songwriter, poet, director, and cinematographer based in New York City, Chad Post has been championing his electronic sound since early 2018, delivering a stream of bold and brilliant releases that rally around his modern pop stylings. After last appearing on our pages with his breakthrough single 'If I Was God', Chad is back with a fully-fledged new single, and we can't get enough of it.
Titled 'Fresh Reign', the new release is a dynamic pop anthem that shines through dark lyrics and an undeniable sense of passion. Released on the 22nd of February this year, the single is Chad at his most expressive, perfectly blending his polished hyper-pop sound with some truly touching balladry.
Speaking about the single alongside its release on Soundcloud, Chad explained, "'Fresh Reign' is a clean and inspiring new pop sound that encompasses dance, hyper pop, and a soul crushing ballad--all yearning for some form of love. The rich, yet dark lyrics and melodies accompanied by carefree, yet emotional production are tied together in this departure."
In January 2020, Post released his first full-length album, 'Delusions of Grandeur,' through his production house, Post + Present Productions. The album has sixteen songs, artistically curated by season, and explores themes of self-discovery, love found, and love lost.
Skirting a fine line between nostalgic dance pop, unfiltered dark R&B pop, and acoustic ballad pop, it is clear Chad Post has created his own genre. Drawing influence from idols like Lana Del Rey, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Adele, Bob Marley & The Wailers, Fleetwood Mac, Destiny's Child, Lady Gaga, Craig David, and Bon Iver, it is obvious his music is a kaleidoscope of those sounds and visuals.
