Chicago's Attack the Sound have reignited their influential track, 'Love Is War', with a special anniversary EP titled 'Love Is War: Packed', scheduled for release on Valentine's Day.Five years after the single's initial impact, which saw them garner acclaim and recognition, the band are revisiting their landmark moment, not simply to reminisce, but to amplify and expand upon it.
The original 'Love Is War' shook the indie R&B scene, earning them a "Best in Show" award at the Midwest Film Festival for its accompanying short film. The track's unique blend of what they term 'Chi-Pop'—a fusion of indie R&B, pop, jazz, and soul—catapulted them into the global music landscape, securing them a sync deal with Winding Way Records and a place among the top 20,000 bands worldwide. Now, 'Love Is War: Packed' promises to deliver a revitalised experience, featuring fresh interpretations, exclusive remixes, and entirely new material that builds upon the original narrative.
"For the past five years, Love is War has been a defining part of our journey. This EP is our way of saying thank you to everyone who’s been with us since the beginning," explains Davo Sounds, the band's founder. "We’re bringing new energy to a classic and showing just how much we’ve grown as artists."
