Georgie Winchester Drops Sizzling New Single 'The Signs'

Get ready to hit the road and crank up the volume! Aussie singer-songwriter Georgie Winchester has just released her infectious new single, 'The Signs', and it's an absolute banger. Hailing from the small town of Maitland in New South Wales, Winchester has been making waves with her unique blend of catchy melodies, powerful vocals and honest storytelling.

'The Signs' is a high-energy track that perfectly captures the feeling of a carefree summer road trip. Produced by Jack Nigro (known for his work with Skegss, Dune Rats and The Terrys) at Sonara Studios on the Central Coast, the song showcases Winchester's evolving sound. Think shimmering electric guitars, swirling phaser effects, and soaring vocals layered over insightful lyrics.

Though the track has a feel-good vibe, it's actually rooted in the reflective aftermath of a breakup. Winchester explains that "The Signs" is about looking back and realising she missed (or maybe ignored!) the red flags in a past relationship. "It's that feeling of 'how did I not see this coming?'" she says.

Winchester has been steadily building a name for herself in the Australian music scene, sharing stages with some of the biggest names around, including G-Flip, Glass Animals, Troye Sivan, The Smith Street Band, Maple Glider, The Rubens and Thelma Plum. And she's showing no signs of slowing down!

With a jam-packed schedule ahead, Winchester is set to bring 'The Signs' to life on stage at Spilt Milk festival in Newcastle, followed by a three-date Victorian tour. You can also catch her supporting Pete Murray at Pacific Palms Recreational Club, and she has her sights set on the Tamworth Festival and International Alliance Canada in early 2025.

'The Signs' marks Winchester's eighth single release of 2024, hot on the heels of her EP 'pretty things' and collaborations with Just A Gent and Joel Leggett. If you've not yet had the pleasure of experiencing Georgie Winchester live, she's played over 60 shows across Australia this year alone.
