An Italian hard rock band formed in Tuscany a few years ago, Hand On Heart have recently delivered their standout debut single 'Roses', lashing out with a devilish barrage of classic rock sounds.
A talented fourpiece consisting of lead vocalist and keyboardist Gianluca Niccoli, bassist Alessandro Moschini (ex-G.L.A.S., ex-H.A.R.E.M.), guitarist Christian Evans and drummer Sergio Leonetti (ex-G.L.A.S.), the band took their name from the timeless Queensrÿche song, as Moschini stated to Sleaze Roxx, “The name of the band is inspired by the Queensrÿche song 'Hand On Heart'. The song was also in our setlist that we played live.”
The debut single from the band, available now on Spotify and all other music platforms worldwide, 'Roses' is a slice of hard rock anthemics plucked straight from the golden age, capturing a classic '80s feel cut from the same vein as Guns N' Roses and Aerosmith. The single also arrives as the first song to be taken from the band's forthcoming debut album, which the band are hard at work recording.
Speaking further with Sleaze Roxx, Moschini added, “The recording is going well. On Friday [July 7, 2023], we will finish the recording of the second track that we will put on Spotify next month. We have five tracks with bass and drums already done and four of them done with rhythm and lead guitars. We have to record three other songs. The album will contain eight tracks and an intro, so in total nine tracks. We plan to release it in two to three months maximum.”
Hand On Heart first formed the band in 2017 with Moschini and Niccoli, who were previously involved in an acoustic project named Coffee & Flowers. Drummer Sergio Leonetti, who they had played together with in the ’80s in another hard rock band called G.L.A.S. joined later, followed by guitarist Christian Evans. The band will be looking to release more music as the year continues.
